Spiritual Volunteer Opportunities Unitarian-Universalist Church of Asheville Great Tree Zen Temple Southern Dharma Retreat Center "... During the retreat season, Southern Dharma uses one or two volunteers at a time to help with the work of the retreat. The work consists of four hours assisting the cook mostly in the mornings and other tasks such as cleaning during the retreat. On non-retreat days, the work consists of cleaning, mowing, gardening, or some other such task. The retreat fee is waived for volunteers. Though a "volunteer," there is compensation: food, lodging, and the opportunity to attend the retreat during afternoons and evenings.
