Discover the Bliss of TARGETED Visitors to Your Website Who Seek EXACTLY What You Have to Offer and Who Arrive Pre-Sold by a Trusted Source: AshevilleBliss.com -- with Your Choice of Two Unique and Powerful Advertorial Formats.

Why settle for one of those tiny uninformative "banner ads" crammed together with a dozen or more similar ads on a webpage which may or may not relate to your business. Why pay good money for an ad which few people click on because it tells them little about your service or product or event (and may even cause your prospect to run the other way because those little banner ads SHOUT 'Advertising').

Instead, why not choose the LARGE and INFORMATIVE "ADVERTORIAL" from AshevilleBliss.com which can subtly and credibly DOMINATE a page filled with interesting and relevant editorial content that provide the visitor to AshevilleBliss.com with EXACTLY the kind of information they are seeking!

Example of "Advertorial Format #1"

Ken Sedberry

"... I chose, a long time ago, to finish most of my work in the wood burning kiln. This process is more common in Eastern pottery tradition than Western. Unlike firing in a gas or electric kiln, firing in a wood kiln is a twenty-some hour process that demands constant attention. It requires gradually bringing the heat to the approximately 2300 degrees. I love the process of stoking the furnace. There's a connection there. You stay right with it from beginning to end. Wood firing means allowing this process to take some part in the aesthetics of the work. [RIGHT : Ken's studio with wood for firing]

The variables are infinite and one gives in to chance. There are two to three months work in every firing and there are no guarantees. It's continual risk. Wood-fired pots are traditionally earthen-colored subdued, reserved and muted colors which are beautiful. My goal, however, has been to achieve color in wood firing - colors which combine with the conventional wood-firing hues to create surfaces not unlike those found in Nature's wildest fauna, flora and oceans...." Ken's work includes Wood Fired Stoneware, Wood Fired Porcelain, Stoneware and Terra Cotta Sinks, "Guardians" Wood Fired Terra Cotta Sculptures. He is an outstanding member of the Bakersville community, contributing his time and expertise as soccer coach. He is a frequent teacher at such venues as Western Carolina University, John C. Campbell Folk School, etc. Ken is a marathon and 5 and 10K runner and can be seen most days running through Loafers Glory and Toecane communities. Member, Potters of the Roan; founder and member, Ariel Gallery, Asheville's contemporary craft collective. You can also see Ken's work at his studio gallery during the semi-annual TRAC studio tour and by appointment.

CLICK HERE to see how the above Ken Sedberry "advertorial" stands out on a typical page which has a combination of free digest-type listings and other advertorials.

As you can see, the "advertorial" format gives the visitor no clue that they are looking at an "advertisement" because it looks like and commands the RESPECT and BELIEVABILITY of the surrounding editorial listings -- only better.

The tinted background (or border, if you choose) sets the "advertorial" apart from from the free editorial listings. The abundance of interesting photos (could be a combination of videos and photos) and substantive text attracts the attention of the targeted visitor and lets THE VISITOR DECIDE that this is an IMPORTANT and RECOMMENDED product or service, without actually saying so or screaming "AD!".

In-Column Advertorial Format #1 is generous both in size and content.

Below is another example of a "Format 1 Advertorial"

Robert Johnson

"...Artist Robert Johnson is a visual storyteller whose interests in sacred places and man's connection to the natural world are reflected in his rich works. Johnson spent the first fourteen years of his life in Caracas, Venezuela, where he was deeply affected by the abundant plant and animal life. As an adult he became intrigued with sacred places, such as Mt. Fuji in Japan, where people often visit not only to enjoy nature's beauty, but for spiritual renewal as well.... While Johnson's paintings depict the beauty and peace of "sacred places" such as Mt. Pisgah, he also documents the impact that human beings have had on the land. "I observed that the need for preservation is under constant pressure created by the drive for development," he says. "It saddens me that so many financial and human resources are required simply to maintain these tiny remnants of once great ecosystems."

An article by Arnold Wengrow in the December 7th 2007 edition of the Asheville Citizen Times on the occasion of his New Zealand exhibit says"...But Johnson’s landscapes are also wildly imaginative inventions of scenes never observed in nature. In his pictures, plant stalks loom as big as trees. Mountains, sea and forests that are miles apart appear side by side. An owl towers over the tree it sits in. This, Johnson might be saying, is how far-off places look in dreams when we come back home. His world is a place of magical realism recalling Henri Rousseau and Marc Chagall. It’s clear he’s a naturalist. The son of an oil geologist who took him on expeditions to Venezuela, Johnson has an environmentalist’s reverence for unspoiled wilderness. He has painted the coast, sandhills and mountains of North Carolina in a distinctive style that mixes techniques from medieval art, Indian miniatures and sacred Tibetan Thangka paintings. Johnson’s artistic journeys have taken him to India, Nepal, Bali, Ecuador and Panama. Now the artist, who lives in the Celo community in Yancey County, has returned from a three-month expedition to New Zealand. It’s a country, he says, that 'evolved quite separately from all other parts of the world.'..." Robert Johnson's extraordinary and highly collectible paintings are frequently in solo exhibitions at Blue Spiral 1 Gallery, where they can always be purchased.

An article in Mountain Xpress describes how Robert Johnson uses sketches in a sketchbook as an prelude to his paintings (page from his sketchbook to right). Robert will be teaching a course at the Penland School of Crafts June 22 to July 4, 2008: -Nature Journaling: Art for Nature Freaks "Nature journaling is a powerful tool for connecting with the world around us, and it can inspire work in any medium. This class will travel to some of the most beautiful spots in the North Carolina mountains where we will observe and record what we find using Robert Johnson’s unique pencil and watercolor journaling method. No previous experience necessary; all that is needed is curiosity, a love of nature, and a good pair of hiking boots. All levels."

Example of Advertorial Format #2:

Shane Fero

"The medium allows Shane to create intimate and highly detailed images from his fertile imagination. Collectors appreciate how his work ranges from whimsical to surrealistic."
John Cram,
Blue Spiral 1 Gallery

"... Magical is the only way to describe the lampworking process.
Sitting in front of a small oxygen-propane torch, Fero slowly heats a rod of clear glass. His slender fingers are a study in perpetual motion, moving the glass back and forth over the flame, always looking, always studying. When the moment is right, he gives a small controlled puff, forcing the glass to expand in the center, determining if the shape is what he's looking for. Next, Fero reaches toward a dish filled with powdered glass, twirling the newly blown form, which soon becomes the belly of the bird. Vivid color bursts forth as he moves the rod back into the flame. As shade and shape unite, he begins manipulating the glass again, giving a controlled puff that becomes face and beak, selecting tools to pull more of the molten glass, forging tiny feet to support the 6 - inch-or-so body. Everything is done in sequence, dipping the molten body into powdered glass, twirling it back through the flames, studying shape and movement, fine tuning the extremities... from an news article by Sue Wasserman, Asheville Citizen Times

The article goes on to say how his pet cockatiel has free reign of the family's cabin which is just a stone's throw from Penland School... and how his early fascination with Egyptology, then Greek and Roman mythology, has influenced his work.

Shane on birds:

"Initially, I sculpted the birds as accoutrements for perfume bottles and vases, resting them atop flameworked tree limbs. More recently, they've become standalone sculptures. Their form is really nice for rendering into glass."

On where he lives:

"I came up to visit, decided I liked the area and enrolled in a hot glass class. Not only did that class expand my horizons, it changed my life."

On on his next 'style':

"I've had so many styles, providing me with a sense of form, motion and color," he said. "Each style has proven to be the perfect training ground for me. I can't wait to see where I go from here."
